Where is Chef Jason?
Chef Jason McKinney came to us with a bold challenge: document his one-year journey cooking around the world before opening Elizabeth, his new restaurant, in 2027. A former chef at the three-Michelin-starred French Laundry, Jason wanted more than a highlight reel — he wanted a real record of the people, places, and techniques shaping the food he'd bring home.
We took on the journey to document Jason as he cooks his way across the globe, focusing on both long form and short form content — so far, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, Peru, and South Africa, with the journey still continuing. Each stop is treated as its own chapter: local ingredients, local cooks, local traditions, all filtered through Jason's perspective as he builds toward what Elizabeth will become.
